Paginated Reports Render

Hello

I am trying to create Paginated Report and use Text Boxes to represent data. But in "Run" mode reports render well, and in Print layout some cells are misaligned. The cells size are exactly the same. So, I need to misalign them by purpose during the design to make them aligned with other cells while in printed layout. So, in Run Mode all cells are rendered and shown exactly as they designed in designer, but in print layout (and being exported to pdf) there are differences with some cells (not all). What can be the root cause of such a behavior and what can I check?
Thanks.Aligned in designer and aligned in Run mode.pngAligned in designer.pngAligned in designner and Misaligned in Print layout.pngAligned in print layout.pngMisaligned by purpose in designer.png

Hi @Anonymous ,

Depending on the renderer you select, certain rules are applied when rendering the report. How report items fit together on a page is determined by the combination of these factors:

  • Rendering rules.
  • The width and height of report items.
  • The size of the report body.
  • The width and height of the page.
  • Renderer-specific support for paging.

For example, reports rendered to HTML and MHTML formats are optimized for a computer screen-based experience where pages can be various lengths.

For more information, see Rendering Behaviors (Report Builder and SSRS).

Best regards.

I found the root cause. The "Allow height increase" option in textbox properties has been enabled and since text or data presented in the textbox, height has been slightly increased, maybe 0.02 cm, sth like that, because of the font size. Some textboxes didn't increase the size because the font was different. To align them I just added space to those cells without data (with above mentioned option enabled) and that's it.
