PBI Web Version URL not working

Hello,

I'm having an issue with URL links that are unique based on contract IDs. The URL works fine in PowerBI desktop and takes you to the website and pulls up the specific contract; however, when I publish the report to a workspace online, the link takes you to the generic home page and doesn't pull up the contract. Has anyone else come across this issue?

Some troubleshooting I've done:

The website is specific to my company and the only special character included is a question mark. 

I've tried in multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge). 

The only work around I've found is if I right click and copy the link embedded, then paste this into a new tab it works. Why would clicking this link be different? It's like clicking the link removes the contract ID on the end of the hyperlink.

If you open the URL directly in your browser, is the page displayed correctly?

Yes, the URL directly in my broswer is displayed correctly when I input the contract ID in with it.

When clicking the URL in the web version of the PBI report, the contract ID seemingly disappears.
