Hi @Anonymous,

As it's live connection, Data source Settings will not be available. So you need to modify credential in Power BI desktop then republish. 

But one thing is strange, I really remember I test before Azure Analysis Service doesn't require any gateway. As current my azure subscription is disabled and can't test again, if you have any other question, I would suggest you create a support ticket to get dedicated support.
