More control of design elements of default visuals

I know that one of the most important parts of Power BI’s new features is mostly on the technical side. But I hope the team does not forget the impact of adding new features on the visual side. I think adding the following features would convince people to start building dashboards in Power BI, just because you can have more control over design of the standard visuals. Here is my wish list:

  • Make it possible to add radius to bar charts so you can have rounded edges instead of straight.

  • Make it possible to add custom labels (based on measures for example) in bar, diagrams, etc. instead of choosing from category/data
  • Adding gradients in bars/diagrams
  • Adding outlines to bars/diagrams

  • Embedding custom fonts more easily
  • Adding subtle animations (fade in, bounce, add counter add-ups in the card visual etc.)
Making it easier to add pop-up menu/layers. The bookmark system is quite complex to use and to maintain. If it would be more like the way you make tooltip you could easily make a page with your filters/info text and then attach it to an action instead of using bookmarks. See it as making a permanent tooltip which can be turned on and off.

Keep up the good work!
