MailChimp Integration Support

Good afternoon!
The following error occurs when trying to load data from MailChimp:

Appealed in support of MailChimp, here is their answer:

Thanks for reaching out, we’re always happy to investigate. And thank you for that screenshot—it’s definitely super helpful!

I totally understand the barrier when receiving error messages such as this one. I took a look and tried to replicate this issue on our end with the help of my team. After doing some examination of this error, we were not able to find an immediate fix to the issue. That said, we’ve gone ahead and documented the error and informed our development team so that they can further investigate.

It sounds like you may have already reached out to the Power BI support team, but I would definitely recommend reaching back out to them again. Since this is a third-party integration our support is limited. That said, if you do reach out to Power BI, let them know that you spoke with MailChimp’s support team, and inform them that they can reach out to us at apihelp@mailchimp.com for further help troubleshooting their integration. Here is a link to their support page for your reference: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

@plita

I cannot repro the same issue on my side. You can try to get data from MailChimp using the Power BI Template which can be downloaded from here.

And it seems to be a issue which is spcific to the account. I suggest you to create a support ticket at http://support.powerbi.com (see bottom of page).

Hi,

I maybe you should look into other integrated options to avoid such issues. I suggest you look into Touchdown for D365 & PowerApps. Here's their website for more info if you like https://www.touchdown.co/dynamics-mailchimp-integration-en/

Hi, @plita Now that Mailchimp connector and Mailchimp app is not available anymore, you may look for another way if you wish to connect it to PBI. You can use a 3rd party connector, it can save you a lot of time compared to other options. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Mailchimp connector in the data sources list:

After that, you will have to first create a secret API key in your Mailchimp account and then using your credentials add your account to the platform.

Once you’ve done this, you can proceed and go to the “Preview and destination” step

There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
