Issues with downloading a dataset

Hello,

I am trying to download a dataset a friend shared with me. However, when I click download and then select Power BI Desktop, I get redirected to the Microsoft store every time. I have already downloaded the Power BI Desktop app via the Microsoft store so I don't know what the issue is. I am stuck in this loop I guess I need a get aroud of this issue to get my dataset downloaded. Please help 🙂

Hi @paua 

The download provided in your screenshot is for downloading the PBI Desktop client, not the dataset.
If you want to download dataset you need your friend to provide dataset editing privileges to you and then you download it through the dataset shared by him. Please refer to the link below.
