Issue with Scheduling Data Refresh in Power BI through ODBC Connection

Hi Community,

I'm reaching out regarding an issue I've encountered while connecting Power BI to Snowflake through an ODBC connection. Specifically, I am fetching data from a Snowflake Stored Procedure.

The problem arises when I attempt to publish the report and schedule a data refresh from the Semantic Model within the Power BI Workspace. Unfortunately, I've noticed that both the "Refresh" option and the "Data Source Credential" options are faded out for me, preventing me from configuring the refresh settings.

I'm uncertain why these options are unavailable, and I'm eager to resolve this issue promptly. If anyone has encountered a similar situation or has any insights into troubleshooting this problem, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Hi @ddubey1 ,

You may check this in Power BI Desktop, go to the “File” tab, and select “Options and Settings” > “Data source settings.” Select the data source and click on “Edit Permissions”. In the “Edit Permissions” window, change the Privacy Level to “None,” and click “OK” to save the setting.

Then retry it to see if it works. Also, please make sure you have configured the right credentials in Service.

Best Regards,
