Interrogate Errors: Failed to locate XX Features - Yellow error warning bar

Hello,

I have pasted a link to the image above, I could not embed it for some reason.

I am pretty new to PowerBI, so be nice. I have loaded some geographical data against the UK using a postcode file on a map.

I get a yellow warning error bar at the bottom of the ESRI/ ARCGIS map that tells me: "Failed to Locate 23 Features".

I cannot work out how to interrogate, review or fix these 'features'.

It would be really helpful if error reporting was able to be scrutinised a lot more clearly for a novice like myself.

Any comments and support would be welcome.

Is it possible to share your PBIX file to me? You can upload it to online file service like OneDrive. Maybe I can try it locally to see if there is any other thing I can help.

Hey, did anyone figure out a way to resolve the "failed to locate x features" error on the map using latitudes and longitudes?

According to the response from the Product Team. There's no way to get this information (find out the failed ones) today.

I have August Power BI version an the problem remains. A quick way to solve this issue is uncheck geographical field and check it again. This time it will work.

Can you share your PBIX file so we can look at why the data is not geocoding correctly?  If you can't share the file, just share the values you are putting in the Location field. You can do that by exporting the data as CSV from the "..." menu at the top right of the visual.

Same issue with me too. I'm using country names, and only a very few are recognized. Standard English country names are used, nothing fancy. Still plenty of errors, and not listed which and why. Weird.

If you encounter this error, please post the list of place names you're binding to the map. The easiest way to do this is to use the "..." menu and select export data. Then copy and paste the contents of the file so we can see which locations are not being properly mapped, or we can guide you on workarounds.
