How to restrict data from a shared data set in one of report

Hi All,

Appreciate your help in letting me know the solution to my problem in restricting the data set from the shared data set that i use for one of the reports.

To be more prescise i don't want to see partial data in current month. i.e if the month for June 2022 when the users view the report on 14 of June 2022 i want to suppress the June Months data as it is only partial month.

Hope hear from someone who has implemented solutions to restrict data in a report using shared data set.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Are you considering setting up RLS where you can restrict users to see only the first few months of data when configuring rules?

Hi Caitlyn,

Thanks for your response. Much appreciated.

Currently i am NOT considering setting up row level security.

This solution is using shared data sets which is shared by 4 reports.

The shared data sets is getting populated on a daily basis.

The report that i am working is monthly trending report. Therefore the current month (june 2022) contains only partial month data (that is current date is 14).

I don't want to include the partial month data for the current month only in this monthly trending report.

Is it possible to get a subset of data from the shared data set ONLY for a report..
