Gateway - why do we need to map all API child endpoints when the API root is in the Gateway?

Hello,

in the on premise gateway config i have a web api datasource like: https://mycompany.foo.com/API/

In my PowerBi Report (pbix, April 2019 x64) I connect to many endpoints from this API root like:

https://mycompany.foo.com/API/contracts

https://mycompany.foo.com/API/trades

https://mycompany.foo.com/API/deliveries

etc etc

We use over 30 variations of this.

Why, when setting up Gateway refresh, do I need to map individually each child endpoint URL to the single Gateway datasource https://mycompany.foo.com/API/ ??? It is like 40 dropdown boxes I have to assign one by one to the same root!

On top, it is madness that I have to map each time any new API child endpoint each time breaking the gateway refresh!

Funnily enough, if you connect from Excel or PowerBI desktop one time to a child endpoint, he asks how to authenticate (Basic, Windows etc) and he will remember the root endpoint and you never have to configure the authentication anymore for ANY other child endpoints on the same root! So why would the gateway config be any different?

Please change this behaviour, it makes no sense and is an absolute nuisance.
