Description:
We created 3 field parameters and added them into a matrix

All of sudden if we select the 3rd parameter same as any of the previous parameter the matrix representation is hampered.

Hi @Ang0zyx

You mentioned that the matrix representation is hampered , can you explain it in detail ? Can you provide your pbix file(remove sensitive info) so that we can better deal with the problem ?

Hi @Ang0zyx

In fact, I don't quite understand what you mean by doing this? Since three parameters are set, why set two identical filter conditions? According to your first screenshot, if you choose three different ones, there will be no problem.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I completely understand that selecting identical values does not make any sense. Though I feel, on selecting similar values the matrix should not get auto expanded to the lowest level automatically.

To recover from this, user needs to click on drill up button again.

Hi @Ang0zyx

After testing, it is indeed get auto expanded to the lowest level automatically. You can post your thoughts to the Ideas forum . If a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you think this is a issue in the system and should be treated as bug in Power BI. Generally if we add something Power BI Idea it completely depends on th users voting and i feel that is unfair.

Hop eyou understand the issue.
