I had the same issue. Rolling back to Windows 11 Home (OS Build: 22621.2283) resolved it for me. The problem manifested with (OS Build: 22621.2428). I'm uncertain if it's related to the recent Windows update; notably, the PDF exportation functioned properly yesterday, but after today's update, it failed

Hey, guys. Providing more information on the subject. I downloaded the May version of Power BI desktop and I still have the same problem when exporting to PDF and my Windows is 10. I believe it was the Windows update and not the PBI (I think)

Hi All,

A bit of trial and error, but I found that by using the zoom in/out in the bottom right helped the export - set it at 65% for the default 16:9 layout to get it as big on the page as possible, without cutting off anything when exporting.

I got the same problem, I realize the print was 50% cutted.

so.... my canvas size in powerbi was from 800px x 1300 px. (height x width)

Keeping the ratio of my canvas (8/13), I resize the canvas to 1200px x 1950px. (height x width)

In your powerbi will see the big canvas and empty space to right and bottom, but in the printing you will get the results as you expected.

Update:

You can publish your report to PowerBI.com and export to PDF from the browser.
I will update here if there is any progress, so please be patient.

Best regards.

Same error here.

To me, it seems to be happening since last Windows 11 update.

Current W11 version: 10.0.22621 compilation 22621.

Current Power BI version: 2.122.746.0 64-bit (october 2023).

It happened also in previous PBI version.

Publishing in PowerBI.com and exporting from there seems to work.

My temporary fix for this was editing canvas settings:

set Type to Custom

multiplied width and height by 1.5

set vertical alignment to "Top"

Well, for what it's worth, I am not going to change my reports to my screen size or whatever the workaround people have come up with might be.  I have to publish these dashboards to the web interface and don't want to introduce additional layers of complexity which may affect our consumers of the reports or my fellow developers.

Mine started doing the same today and I am using an older version (April 2023) as there were issues with newer versions already.

Hi @v-xiaoyan-msft ,

My organization does not give me access to publish reports to PowerBi.com.  In that case what will be the workaround?
