Error updating data from .xlsx file generated by R

I already have my dataflow working just right. Now I'm just trying to automate my dataflow and here is where the problem starts, and I know when exactly happens. First of all, both my version of PowerBi Desktop and the Gateway are updated.

As I said before everything works fine as PowerBi collects the info from an .xslx and creates my dashboard. But this .xlsx archive PowerBi uses is generated by R. After generated by R, if I open the archive and I delete a blank column (it doesn't modifies absolutly nothing) and then save and close the .xslx, magically when I manually update in PowerBi is successful (and everything is completely right). But if I run my R script, creating the archive (it's an Excel file with multiple spreadsheets), and just go to PowerBi to update my .pbix, it always fails with the next message "The input couldn't be recognized as a valid Excel document".

My .xlsx doesn't have any kind of hyperlinks, it´s only numbers and letters like stats, with no reference to links of websites.

Does someone know a solution for this?

I don't know what else to do, please help.

Hi @AnalyticsM1 ,

Please try :

1. Open the On-premises Data Gateway (personal mode) .

2. Go to the connectors tab and switch off the Custom data connectors feature.

3. Click Apply -> Apply & Restart.

4. On the dataset page, click edit credentials and sign in.

To be clear, only the personal mode gateway supports R
