Error importing a CUB file

Hi!

Until the April 2022 release, importing files in CUB format was working normally (local cube - SQL Server Analysis Services database). As of the May 2022 release, Power BI is able to read metadata but cannot import. It is a multidimensional cube, version 1100.

May you help me, please?

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous ,

power bi desktop has been updated to the September version, have you tried to update to the latest version to import files? Are there still problems?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Accorrding to your error message, you should first check if your datasource is accessible. Does it change? Or did you have any other operations on the data source?

Hi, @v-mengzhu-msft !

I tested with both accessible and also inaccessible datasource. My cube is totally offline.

To help with your tests, please download the cube below:

Try to import it in the April version. It will work. Then try to import in the following versions.

Thanks,

Ulisses.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on the above information, if you are a Power BI Pro licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.

It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.

Hi!

Any news? Still not working. It's a Power BI bug, not a exclusive issue. Were you able to import the CUB file? It was working until the April version.

Thanks.
