Error connecting to Databricks

Hi,

I am playing around with Azure Databricks and wanted to connect them to my Power BI application, but I failed.

What have I tried so far:

  •  ✖️I did it both through exporting configuration file through Partner Connect and manually from Power BI and had the same result.
  • ✖️I tried 2/3 authentication options: Personal Access Token and Azure Active Directory with same result.
  • ✔️I installed Databricks CLI and was able to connect successfully from my laptop.

Error given by Power BI:

I experience exactly the same problem connecting Power BI to Azure Databricks.

@Ailsa-mft the provided link does not help or hint resolution.

So I did find (partial) solution to the problem - you need to use shared computes to be able to connect with Power BI.

I think it should be clearly stated in the documentation, that using Personal Compute (or probably anything other than the full shared cluster) will block connection to Power BI with this totally cryptic-and-not-helpful NULL message.
