Disable Parallel Loading in Online Published Report

Parallel loading of tables is supported in Desktop mode but not in online reports. Because of this, all visualizations that rely on calculated tables crash upon automated refresh in my online report.

Locally there is the option to uncheck parallel loading of tables (see screenshot). This allows the tables with hard data to load first, and then the calculated tables (with no data) to follow. This option should exist online, since the only alternative is to refresh locally and reupload the report every day.

Please see this thread for further context.

I went through Microsoft support and they were not able to help me through this issue. Someone please help!!

Hi @aganes

May I know the detail error message when the dataset refresh is failed in Power BI service?

For your requirement, you can vote this same idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/35386894-need-option-to-disable-p...

By the way, it looks like you already created a support ticket to Microsoft, right?

Best Regards,

Hi @v-qiuyu-msft,

Thanks for your response. Here is the error I get with scheduled refresh. Once again, the issue does not happen locally.
