Deployment piplines issue - Can't deploy from test to prod

I'm trying out the deployment pipelines and run into problems when trying to deploy from Test to Prod, even though both workspaces are in premium capacity, I'm worksapce admin of both workspaces and I'm a pro-licensed user.

I created a 2-step deployment pipeline yesterday by assigning one of our premium workspaces as a Production workspace. Then used the "Deploy to previous step"-feature to create a Test workspace, which got created as a premium workspace as well (labeled with the diamond). That all went fine, copied and synced from prodution to test within seconds. Today we published a new version of a dataset to Test, refreshed it and then clicked "Deploy to production". That has left us staring at the endless "Copying the content to this workspace" ever since. Refreshing the page brings us back to the screen showing that there are changes in Test not reflected in Production. No error message is generated at any point.

I cannot reproduce the issue. Since you're a pro-licensed user, just create a support ticket for assistance.

Thanks @v-chuncz-msft, I created a support ticket yesterday and now waiting for Microsoft feedback.

Feedback from Microsoft support concludes that it has to be the same account that has configured the dataset in the Power BI service that deploys the dataset from test to prod.

This is a major limitation to our way of working and I will create an idea in the idea forum that all users that have owner rights to an dataset should be able to deploy a new version of it (but keeping the configuration), just as any one can publish and overwrite a new version of a dataset from desktop to PBI Service.

...also - I think it should be showing an error message if something goes wrong in deployment, not only get us stuck with an endless "in progress" animation.
