Dataflows

Ever since about 6am Eastern today, my dataflow refreshes have been  just spinning - no errors, just spinning like it's trying to load the data.

Status: Accepted

Existing ICM for similar issue(ICM 297756751). It should be a new known issue that dataflow refresh taking long times that usual to complete. Employee engages this issue as well.

I'm seeing the same issue this morning..   Does anyone else see this a reoccurring problem every friday?

Same issues here.  We've been seeing this of and on all week.  My admin tried the suggested work around this morning and it didn't work.  This is very frustrating.

Most of our dataflows get timed out in the 12-6am range. Any solution for this as of now?

I'm seeing same. Overnight refreshes in that time period are sketchy. Manual refreshes seem to work ok when during the work day.

We are experiencing the exact same problem as well, based on the east coast of Australia.

Like many have said it is simply not acceptable from a massive company like this.

We are using a PPU environment with 250 users, I have multiple dataflows that typically take 2 minutes taking 2+ hours.

We have now waited for 6 days in total... 6 DAYS! 4 days of canceling (not showing in duration) and 2 days of hoping for a refresh to time-out. Nothing....

What is beyound my understanding is that this is not recognized by Microsoft, even if the issue is accepted here. Would someone PLEASE look into this or at least show some transparancy on what is going on, trying to fix this issue.

We are paying you good money for premium per user - make it worthwile!

Hi All,

According to the reply from the product group, the cause of this issue is due to a known intermittent issue in Premium Gen2 workloads, including dataflows. They are currently evaluating paths to reduce and mitigate the occurrences of the issue and currently targeting Q2 2022 for public availability. Currently, no precise timeline provoded. Please be patient for the fix. Thanks for your understanding.

@v-cazheng-msft I find it strange that this issue is not put on Support | Microsoft Power BI if this is a "known" issue? I'm sure other customers would like to know, rather than having to find this issue thread.

I really want to be patient, but "targeting Q2 2022" seems like a very very broad timeline. I hope you will provide updates as they reach you, or have the product team simply answer this thread.

In the meanwhile I would only find it fair Microsoft will refund the cost of Premium Per User during this periode, as the issues on your side clearly is blocking any use of the tool.

Same has happened to me, Premium per user workspace with ~20 dataflows from 20GB to 20Kb that take anywhere from 2 hours to 20 seconds to refresh normally have been refreshing for 6+hours.  From what I can tell this started for me around 2:30PM Mountian time on 4/12/2022.  I have a seperate workspace with dataflows pulling from the same source that has not experienced any issues.
