Dataflow cannot be refreshed or edited

A dataflow that has been working for 8 months started to fail today.  When we attempt to edit the dataflow's entities, we receive an unexpected error message and the dataflow never loads into our browser.  We've tried several different machines, browsers, and users.  I've noticed this has been an issue for users in the past but I cannot find what action resolved it.  Is this a transient issue?
