DataFormat.Error: The input couldn't be recognized as a valid Excel document. Details: Binary

I was importing data from Excel to Power BI and I received this error:

 

DataFormat.Error: The input couldn't be recognized as a valid Excel document. Details: Binary

 

It was caused by the first row being set to freeze panes.  After I open the spreadsheet and selected un-freeze panes, it imported successfully.

I try to set the first row to be freeze panes, but still can import the excel 2016 file successfully with June 2017 version of Power BI Desktop.

Could you please share a sample excel which can be used to repro through online file service like OneDrive?

You set the first row to freeze panes?  The freeze pane setting needs to be removed for the file to be uploaded.
