Data source accessing a web URL which requires Authentication headers

You used to be able to take the URL for a file located on Sharepoint (O365) and authenticate using your organizational account to load the data to PBI Desktop.

 

This no longer works as of this week and I am getting errors that the credentials provided cannot be used for the web source.

Which Power BI desktop version do you run? 

When you use web connector to get data, which kind of URL do you enter?

Hi Qiuyun,

 

I'm on version 2.59.5135.781 64-bit (June 2018).  The link I'm using is shown in the error message below.  It's an excel file located on a Sharepoint document library.

Ok, I just tried refreshing the query and logged in with my credentials and it removed the error and loaded my 1st dataset.

 

When trying to add a 2nd dataset (a CSV file in the same Sharepoint folder), I am receiving the error that I noted in my original post, and the 1st dataset is also getting an error.  I'm now able to replicate this issue using the above steps.
