Data refresh from Accelo timing out

I have a complex KPI report that relies on data from our service Ops platform Accelo. The dataset refreshes daily. About 2 months ago the data didn't fully refresh, populating one of the larger tables only about half way. The scheduled refresh fixed that the next day. In the last week I have had this problem 6 days from 7. Accelo support has confirmed that the dataset is intact and the problem is likely a timeout on Power BI side.

What additional info do you need from me to provide any insights or suggestions?

Hi @HughMac ,

You can check the refresh history after the schedule refresh completed/failed to find some information about this issue.

If it caused by the refresh timeout, consider this note:

Scheduled refresh timeout

Scheduled refresh for imported datasets timeout after two hours. This timeout is increased to five hours for datasets in Premium workspaces. If you encounter this limit, consider reducing the size or complexity of your dataset, or consider breaking the dataset into smaller pieces.

In addition, you can try to change the time range for this schedule refresh to prevent if there are multiple datasets refresh at the same range.

Thank you for your note Yingjie Li. We had previously checked the refresh history and it is showing as complete for all days. Yet 6 out of the last 7 days the dataset is incomplete, with transactions after 2018 being excluded from the data for some reason.
