Ctrl+Click not working with Top 10

I have 3 charts where the first two charts are filtered top Top 10 based on a measure and Chart 3 is not filtered top 10. I have crossfiltering enabled at the report level.

When I click on the first chart and then ctrl+Click on the second chart then everything goes blank. This happens when the selection on the second chart is not falling within the default Top10 option.

Default:

When I click on the first chart, second chart and third chart filters down as expected:

Now when I Ctrl+Click on the second chart everything goes blank (notice the option I clicked is not within Top 10 on default view of chart):

I expected it to behave the same as below when I don't do top 10 on the first two charts:

It also works when the second chart default Top 10 has that option like below:

This happens in both desktop and service and with larger datasets (Fact table is 1M+ rows). I can't reproduce this issue on smaller datasets (Fact table is 100rows).

Hi @acbg ,

No feedback has been received from other users who are experiencing similar issues to you at this time, as you have a large amount of data and are most likely experiencing problems with data processing. What license are you currently using, and if you have a Power BI Premium license, you can suggest that you turn on the Large Data Set feature.

For datasets using the large dataset storage format, Power BI automatically sets the default segment size to 8 million rows to strike a good balance between memory requirements and query performance for large tables.

Hi @Anonymous ,

This happens even on power bi desktop so don't think Premium matters.

But to answer your questions yes we do have Power BI premium. 1Million rows is not that big to have this issue. We deal with tables much larger than that usually.

Its not just one report either I can replicate this across other reports as well.

Thanks @Anonymous . Did put it a ticket to MS support but via my internal team. Will advise if they accept it as a bug and timing on the fix.

But for anyone else is going through this, the workaroud we did is to do Top 10 via Rank function in dax and everything interacts as expected. The issue happens only on larger models while applying Top 10 via the filter pane.
