Code Completion DAX & M

Hello,

I have notice that code completion behavior has chaged. Before, I could type words contained on a table name, now I need to type the whole name letter by letter. Example; Suppose that the table name is 'ThisIsTheTableINeed', before I could type ThisTableNeed and I would get the table suggestion, now I can't skip a letter. It was a time saving feature, or bug?

Also, I never get code completion on Power Query M editor.

Hi @KRISTYAN

I have a doubt , when you enter function , like SUM() , then the table name will display , you can choose the table directly . If there are many tablets with similar names, you can keep typing them until the one you need is displayed. I don't understand your operation, since you entered the name, why not follow the exact match, but selectively enter part of the name .

Hello Ailsa!

Thanks for your answer.

I have a group of tables with the same prefix, then they have their unique name. For these tables I create some more tables (calculated tables) with suffixs. Before these bug was fixed or feature removed, I could navigate more easily to the table I wanted. It was easier and I did not needed to use the mouse or type the complete name (suffix) to get the table. Also, to get the attributes I did not needed to type the left bracket. At firsts, I finded these behaviors strange but I came to make the most out of them.

Hi @KRISTYAN

I tested with other versions of Desktop , it's all the same situation . In the input table name block , the name is defaulted to an exact match , but whether you enter part or all of it . This is by design . It's great that you can adapt to its changes . Of course , if you are still in urgent need of fuzzy matching , you can mention your ideas to the Ideas forum .
