Can connect to Data Source in SQL, but PBI gives an authentication error to refresh the data

My Power BI Desktop is up-to-date and the dashboard I am working on a daily basis stopped refreshing due to an authentication error even though I am able to connect to the data source in SQL and run queries out of it. I am not sure the last update has caused it, but I have many different dashboards that has different data sources and they are all still working. I need guidance to troubleshoot this issue as soon as possible.

@v-sabiyi ,

So this issue happens on power bi service, right? Have you checked if the database credentails are still valid?

@v-yuta-msft  Yes, that's correct it only happens in Power BI, but I can connect to the actual datasource in SQL and also, could run some queries over there as well. However, Power BI tells me that there is an error with the credentials.

@v-sabiyi ,

This issue should be caused by expired cache credentials. Clear your internet browser cache by going signing into Power BI and going to https://app.powerbi.com?alwaysPromptForContentProviderCreds=true. This forces an update of your credentials.
