The new CI/CD dataflows no longer allow the export of JSON definitions. For those of us who need to source control dataflows, but do not happen to use Azure DevOps or GitHub as our git provider, this means we still don't have the ability to deploy dataflows through Deployment Pipelines and source control the definition at the same time. Is this intended behaviour? Is there any reason that the existing Gen2 functionality has been removed for this implementation? It's always one step forward, two steps back, with every Fabric feature and it's still clearly not enterprise ready.
The only workaround to this is to use the .pqt file and extract the mashup document by changing the .pqt extension to .zip. This is only half acceptable as you lose all the metadata this way, including data destinations
