Bug: Line and clustered chart Line dashed in the service, though set to be solid in Power BI Desktop

I have a Line and clustered visual whose line gets dashed in the service, even though the line is set to be solid and is shown as solid in Power BI Desktop.

 

This started during the last few days in an unaltered/older report, and the dash format is staying even if the report is re-published.

 

Using the feb 2024 version of Power BI Desktop.

Hi @Mrtnkbg 

I created a line and clustered visual, and set the lines to solid, then published it to Service, and it still shows solid lines. I have not restored your problem on my end, can you provide more information or samples(remove sensitive info) for testing?

Thank you for the quick response.

This morning I made a few changes to the line formatting, solid-dotted-dashed, back and forth and even publishing in between, saving the pbix-file etc. with the same dotted line as result (I wrote dashed originally, but I noticed it was actually dotted when continuing the troubleshooting today).

It wasn't until i switched the markers off and on again the line stayed solid in the service after publishing to the service.

I understand I may have ruined the possibilities for catching this bug by "resolving" it 🙂

I made a screenshot of the report with the dotted line in the service but I don't know if that is of much help to you now... If it is of interest, I still have to check with management.

I leave you with a bug workaround should someone else encounter this: switch the markers off and on again, and republish the report.
