Add Custom Column Dialog: M query not visible

When trying to add a new custom column, I sometimes find the dialog acting up and a restart of PowerBI Desktop is the only action that can fix it.

Adding a new Custom Column, notice the placement of the carrot (left of the equal sign) in screenshot 1Screenshot1.png

Double click any existing column adds "invisible" text to the textbox. See screenshot 2Screenshot2.png

Hi @vestergaardj

Was the Power BI desktop installed from Windows Store or download site on your side?

I tested on my side with the Power BI desktop 2.70.5494.562 64-bit (June 2019) which was downloaded and installed from download site, there was no problem when adding a custom column in Query Editor.

Please restart the machine then test again to see if the issue happens frequently.

Hi @v-qiuyu-msft

It is not something that happens every time I try to add a custom column, but sometimes it does (more often than I'd like). And when it does, the only fix is to close and open powerBI Desktop, which is counter productive.

It's the PowerBI Desktop from the Windows Store I am running

I still face this issue.

This is the Version: 2.94.781.0 64-bit (June, 2021) I use. It was downloaded from my companies' portal.

Any Idea ?
