Unable to Install Power BI Gateway

Hi,

I am unable to install Power BI Gateway Installer.

My Machine Specifications:
             OS: 64 Bit OS

             Installed memory (RAM): 8GB

             Processor: i5-6300U CPU @ 2.40GHz

             Office Version: 2010 (32 Bit)

             Power BI (32 Bit)

Mentioned below is the message I am getting.

"PowerBIGatewayInstaller has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Please close the program."

Request your extended support in resolving the same.

I have a customer that is unable to install the latest release as stated earlier.

I'm also able to provide some insights around what I see as the issue.

I have access to Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2 and 2016 fulle updated environments.

As about the direct link from Microsoft, seems that they have removed it.

I have a call with the PB team trough Microsoft, i will update if i have any response, note that this will take a while since there are procedures but i will definitely update this when i have feedback.

OMG it works.

Just ran the latest copy of "PowerBIGatewayInstaller" and it launched / installed correctly.

I'm unable to find the "GatewayInstall" version of the installer online though.

Thanks @RadiantToxicBot  for sharing. It looks like the latest on-premise data gateway does work. 

@All Please install the new version 3000.0.144.3 to see if the issue is gone.

Just downloading the new version tells us it has been fixed. Now the icon looks like it should.
