SharePoint Picture Library - ImageURL field limitations

I've connected a SharePoint picture Library to my data model, and after setting up the correct URLs and setting the column for ImageURL, the images are ONLY viewable in PowerBI Service if I am using Edge as a browser.

  • Broken image link icon appears in
    • Power BI Service: Chrome
    • Power BI Service: IE 11
    • Power BI Desktop
    • Power BI Teams embed app
    • If I attempt to export to a PowerPoint or PDF

Community forum suggests removing all permissions from the sharing links, but that is completely impossible given org policy.  Very much need this to be functional while maintaining compliance with firm policies.

Please follow steps below to troubleshooting this issue:

 

1. Clear the browser cache.

2. Update brower to the latest version.

3. Press Crtl+F5 to refresh the page.
