Fabric Capacity Metrics App - No Data With Trial Capacity

Hello everyone,

I've been trying to use version 20 of the Fabric Capacty Metrics App for several days now, but to no avail.

I've entered my capacityID (trial) correctly, the application is deployed correctly, but I can't see any data (even if I force the dataset to refresh)

Do you have any idea what the problem is?

Please make sure you’re using the latest version of the app. If not, consider updating it.
You may also check the capacity settings and ensure that “Power BI Premium” is added as a data reader on your capacity.

If you run the app and it’s not displaying any data, try refreshing the app. This behavior sometimes happens when you open the app for the first time.

Hi All,

 

I'm having the same issue as Vivien.  I have tried refreshing the data and re-installing the app but I cannot see any data for my trial fabric capacity.  Interestingly I can see data for a power bi embedded capacity in a separate workspace however.

 

Can someone explain what "ensure that “Power BI Premium” is added as a data reader on your capacity" refers to please?  I can't find an option for this.

Okay so I got my Fabric capacity set up on Friday. I'm using a reservation.
Did initial config, checked admins in Admin portal, have set thresholds for notifications etc.
Switched a couple of workspaces over to the new capacity. Scheduled the workloads --> Pipelines and DFG2 yesterday.
Updated Fabric capacity Metrics app to the latest version.
Forced a refresh of the datasource in the metrics app after doing some manual runs, --> New capacity not showing in the Metrics app.
Left it overnight for the default refresh. Still not showing the new capacity.
Anyone have any ideas ?

I've also called the GetCapacities APi to check I've entered the correct ID
<GET https://lnkd.in/e_QM85MN> and created a local pbi workbook connected to the semantic model and the new capacity is not showing in the Capacities data table.

Hi there!

Could anyone solve this problem?

I'm trying on my Fabric Trial Capacity, in order to be sure that this will work before buying the F64 Licence but i  keep having the same problem.

Is it only on trial capacity that it does not work?

Problem solved!

There where 5 capacity trials in which I wasn't the ADMIN. So the app didn't work with me. My trial expired a long time ago so i couldn't try it myself but i talked with one of the users who was an "Admin" in one of the trials, we tried the APP and it worked just fine.
