Concatenate Number and text column in DQ power BI desktop mode

Hi,

We are trying to concatenate a number and character string in power BI desktop DQ.

The functions CONCATENATE, FORMAT does not work in DQ mode, nor does the merging of column in edit query mode.

Please let us know if anyone has a resolution.

Merging columns in Query Editor is not supported in Direct Query mode.

But CONCATENATE function should work well in Direct Query as below based on my test.

To use FORMAT function in Direct Query mode, please enable following option then restart Power BI Desktop.

I updated my tool to June17 version, still getting an error for concatenate function and format isn't working even when the Direct Query options are enabled

The data source that we are using is Amazon-Redshift.

Hello @v-haibl-msft , i have the same problem : i can t concatenate any data in direct query mode. Is that allowed yes or no? ANd if yes how to do this? Thanks a lot,
