In the summer of 2022 I setup multiple dataflows to data in an Oracle database. I saw the refresh of these dataflows take approx. 40 min. I then switched the data source to OLE DB and saw the refresh take approx. 5 min. Starting around November 2022, I was unable to successfully setup a new dataflow with the work around. I recently opened a Microsoft Support incident and found out that OLE DB is not a supported data source for a dataflow. My issue with the work around is I get stuck with the credential verification. It doesn't take the credentials I enter and keeps asking for them.
I shared this work around with a colleage and he saw a refresh that took 2 hours with Oracle go down to 10 minutes with OLE DB.
Could you please do something to improve the refresh performance with an Oracle data source? I'm seeing significant time difference with Oracle vs OLE DB with the same SQL.
