We have been working on adding this capability. The feature is on the way of rolling out. Please feel free to try it by mid-April. Thanks
Thanks for your input. Supporting workspace identiy is in our plan.
Meanwhile, please feel free to explore using Custom Endpoint as an alternatives. Eventstream supports both SAS Key Authentication and Entra ID Authentication for Custom Endpoint.

Trying to understand the scenario better - what would be the reason for doing this?
Eventhouse data and OneLake Availability is considered as one logical copy with same access level and retention. You can query the data in OneLake without using the Eventhouse compute for historical analysis, while querying the Eventhouse direcely for timeseries/real-time analytics.
If you would like to manage the data in lake seperately, then copying it outside Eventhouse might be a better way think about it.
Thanks for your input. Would like to see more votes.
Now GA
We have not received many requests for OneLake availability for the follower, in most cases, users prefer the main location. I will gather votes and feedback before deciding how to proceed. I will add this to my investigation area list.
Thanks
This is now implemented. Please see this article for details: Setting the query frequency of Activator rules - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
Thanks for your input.
To support low latency events, Eventstream is planning to integrate with Microsoft Graph change notifications. This feature will enable multiple scenarios like event-driven applications, anomaly detection and real-time analysis on Microsoft Graph data.
If this is blocking you, please consider using LogicApp and connect to Eventstream (with customEndpoint as source) as a short term solution.
