Currently, with the new multiple scheduler feature, we can define multiple run schedules for a Fabric item. However, when using deployment pipelines, there’s no way to control which schedules are active in Dev, Test, or Prod. What about adding input fields to the dashboard widgets. Kind of like the text field but it is enabled for user input. This input field can be used in new column and new measure fields so that once the dashboard is set up the user can easily (without filtering) explore the data by entering different values such as if you had an input box for unit price. Develop an item formatting property which allows to set the visibility of a report item when you want to conditionally hide the item based on a report parameter or some other expression that you specify (also DAX expressions). You can develop this incrementally starting from visuals, then text boxes, then shapes and buttons.... Azure EventHub to Fabric Eventstream Connection should be authenticated via RBAC roles. Currently it only supports Shared Access Key authentication which requires manual management of Keys. This is a repost of my idea that was closed as completed, but the 'relative date slicer doesn't allow any of the described request hence my idea is not implemented.... The new date slicer is awesome, but it would be so nice if you could set a dynamic date selection instead of a static. With a static filter the user will always have to set the dates before the saved report makes sense - especially as the report gets older. I’m requesting that Microsoft add native support for SharePoint document libraries (files/folders) in Fabric pipelines and OneLake shortcuts.   Right now: Fabric pipelines do not support the SharePoint folder connector. You can only access SharePoint via lists or in Dataflow Gen2 (Power Query) for folders, not in Copy/pipeline operations. A community idea already exists to add OneLake shortcuts for SharePoint/OneDrive, which shows there’s demand. Why this is important: Many organizations store CSV/data files in SharePoint libraries due to governance, auditing, or collaboration needs. Without native pipeline support, teams are forced to build workaround solutions (Graph API, Power Automate, staging zones), which incur cost, complexity, and maintenance overhead. Having a built-in connector or shortcut would streamline data ingestion into ADLS/Lakehouse with lower friction and fewer moving parts. Suggested capabilities: A SharePoint/OneDrive shortcut type in OneLake, similar to ADLS shortcuts, to allow seamless "mounting" of document libraries. In pipelines: a "SharePoint Document Library" source (binary file mode) that supports reading from specified folder paths, recursive traversal, filtering, and incremental file ingestion. Metadata support: ability to fetch custom columns metadata properties on files (e.g., tags, content types). Support for common authentication methods (OAuth2, service principals, managed identity) and robust error handling for large volumes of files. Power BI Designer saves a local PBIX file, which can be a file to export data and data model – in other words, it’s a format that contains a complete semantic model. All the applications that today export data in several formats (CSV, Excel, XML), might provide a richer semantic model exporting a PBIX file. Many ISV/SI that have OLTP and other applications that stores data in some database, usually struggle to offer a compelling BI story to their customers. The smaller they are, the more they feel this pressure because probably the effort they can put in their custom software is minimal. Today these ISV/SI integrate their solution with external vendor technologies (QlikView is a common choice here). However, the cost of such a solution for the end user is not always appealing, and for this reason the MS partner ecosystem always look for components (charts and pivot tables) to integrate in their solutions. Providing them an easy and inexpensive way to produce PBIX files “ready to use” straight from their product/solution would provide several benefits: - Customers would have something ready to be uploaded to Power BI service - ISV/SI would be able to provide a BI solution integrated with MS ecosystem - ISV/SI can implement solutions like “send a PBIX file via mail every week to all the agents including only the data of their prospects/customers” - Today they already do that using the .CUB format, which can be consumed by both Excel and custom applications - Microsoft would increase the number of Power BI users very quickly - Small ISV/SI would be able to implement such integration very fast What I propose to do is, in descending order of importance: 1) Support Power BI Designer as a local engine with an API that can be used by anyone and officially support local connections by other programs (starting from Excel) - The API should provide the ability to create a data model and to populate it with data by just using API, without any manual interaction - Providing the ability to connect from other clients (today it is possible but not officially supported) would increase the adoption. 2) Document and “open” the PBIX file, so that it can be generated by anyone - I think that this is easy for the data model, but not for the data. - But without the data, this model would be not so useful, requiring a manual refresh to be populated. 3) Open source the Power BI Designer - Not really a priority in my opinion, but if the first two wouldn’t be possible, this one could be ok ... I am following the documentation at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-factory/dataflow-gen2-parameterized-dataflow to parameterize my dataflow and pass in the parameters from my variable library. I am able to pass the parameters to the dataflow from the pipeline to the dataflow but once I try to parameterize the workspace id and dataflow id in the pipeline, the dataflow parameters option disappears.   I've found a temporary workaround by saving it both ways and then manually merging the source file, but every time I open the pipeline to make edits, any saves overwrite my work around.   Can the UI be updated to show the dataflow parameters when variables are used for the dataflow?   Passing Parameterized values to the dataflow:          parameterizing the dataflow connection breaks/hides the ability to pass the parameters to the dataflow:       Manually edited pipeline-content.json:     ... The Fabric Map item was released in preview in Q3 of 2025. One of the things we've noticed, is that custom coloring of shapes is not possible. Currently only data themes supplied by Microsoft can be choosen. We want to be able to add colors to the GeoJSON shape properties and be able to assign these colors as shape coloring, ovewriting a selected data theme. This can be fill colors, outline colors, text colors, etc.   The colors of the provinces in the map below are now defined by the Data theme.   In the data layer settings un Polygon settings, there should be possibilities to assign properties to shape colors. The new scheduler is a great idea (Unlocking Flexibility in Fabric: Introducing Multiple Scheduler and CI/CD Support | Microsoft Fabric Blog | Microsoft Fabric)   However, the fact that we cannot control this using variable libraries means that if you have scheduled refreshed disabled in dev and test then after every prod deployment you have to renable the refresh. There is also no way to turn off this new scheduler and go back to the old scheduler which did not move across environments.   Please either enable us to control the scheduler via depoyment pipelines ASAP or give us a tenant switch to disable this till this feature is supported. ...
