Support for multi-monitor in Power BI Desktop

When you develop complex data models and reports, it's common to switch frequently back and forth between the Report, Data and Model views. Having support for multiple monitors would enable to Power BI developers to use secondary (or third) monitor to simultaneously and seamlessly work across these views.

It would be extremely helpful if Power BI Desktop allowed users to open multiple windows or split views—similar to how Excel allows multiple workbooks or split panes. This would be especially useful in the Data view, where being able to view and compare multiple tables side by side would greatly improve productivity and model understanding. It would also help when writing DAX formulas, as users could reference other tables or visuals without constantly switching views.

Totally agree with this, I have laptop monitor plus ultrawide monitor (basically 2 monitors in 1), it would be great to be able to pull the report, table, relationship & dax tabs off in a similar way to what's available in VSCode, it's hard work debugging issues, I usually end up with many screen snips open.

Agreed! Multi-monitor support for Report, Data, and Model views would greatly improve productivity for Power BI developers working with complex models and reports.

How is it 2025 and we still don't have this?! It would be a huge QOL improvement for 90% of devs.

What a fantastic idea. I cannot wait to try it out. I work on three monitors every day.
