Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server

At the moment to embed reports in a intranet webpage we only have the option to put ?rs:Embed=True at the end of the url. I have read (on this website) that there are plans to extend this so parameters could also be passed in the url, in a similar way that the current SSRS works. Could we also have the Power BI JavaScript API enabled for Power BI Report Server, in a similar way to the Azure service has ?

Row Level Security and being able to hide and show tabs based on User/Role would be greatly appreciated in a JavaScript API when used with PowerBI Report Server.

JavaScript API essential to adoption as we want to embed in apps

This would be absolutely essential for power bi becoming a de facto reporting tool and integrating into our app ecosystem

Totally agree - we are currently developing a web app in which we want to incorporate interactive Power BI reports however we are unable to use the Azure Service (due to the nature of the data we are reporting on being very sensitive) and the default behaviors don't quite provide enough flexibility for what we need. At the moment we may end up having to use a (obviously inferior) JavaScript reporting library to do this - please Microsoft make this happen!

Please allow PowerBI reports to render in the SSRS viewer like the rdl's can so that we can reach large numbers of clients through this very effect report mechanism. We build the viewer into .Net projects and then render data back via viewer. This wont work for .pbix files

Very useful feature to have. In absence of this, Power BI is becoming very restrictive.

Definitely agree - this would expand the use cases for PowerBI Report Server. This would bridge the permissions gap left open with iframe embedding. We could build context and user-aware embedded reports...so that we could pass parameters from our app to the embedded report item, but not introduce ways for the user to "break out" of the filter set and see stuff that doesn't exactly pertain to them. It would be really cool if it simply complied with the public powerbi.com api...based on the on-prem version of course.

This is the the one of the main lacks from the on-premise solution, expecially in the developer point of view. An api complied with the power.com api as someone commented before could be a good step forword.
