Enable setting a fix width of each column in a matrix

It is needed to be able to resize a column for all occurrences in a matrix. That is, not by dragging the size for each and every column value, but with setting a specific pt length in the visualization setup.

If the column values change, etc depending on a slicer selection, all resizing of columns stop working and the initial sizing of the column takes over. Therefore it needs to be possible to change the "initial size" of each column.

This is for example needed in cases where column titles are much wider that what the data values actually need - causing the column width to be set according to the title length(when it would be better to wrap the titles to two-three lines). Therefore the matrices look bad if it is not possible to size the columns according to plan.

Sometimes a pain? Always a pain. I am continually astonished at the simple things Power BI cannot do. For a software that is supposedly about visualisation, you cannot do anything useful with column widths, colours, pattern fills, styles. You can't even do combined graphs with multiple axes without downloading custom visualisations. This is a joke. You would think PBI would have more style/format customisation possibilities than Excel, not way less. At least you can VBA stuff native Excel won't do.

The inability of being able to set fixed column widths in a matrix and the column widths being retained when you change years in a slicer has meant customer will not use Power BI to meet their reporting requirements.

I would like to be able to expand and contract the width of columns

column width should not change once width is fixed and auto column width is off. Presently it is working if column are fixed for  matrix. If column changes based on slicer filter . It is not working

It would be great if we can adjust the column width by indicating it to have columns with equal width. Also the option "Distribute columns" that is used in PowerPoint would be really helpful.

I'd like to replicate what we already have in Ms Excel:

• Possibility to adjust column width or column height using a parameter (instead of our mouse)
• Possibility to distribute column widths
• Expand the table to fit all the visualization width and height
• Possibility to adjust columns/rows to their content
