For development purposes it would be very helpful if it was possible to connect to a dataset in write-only mode and "download" measures (or update the definitions) to a local model. Indeed tables could be updated/downloaded this way I think, even calculation groups. I this way it would be possible to freely develop, as all measure definitions are visible etc. At the end the resulting dataset could be used by the owner of the master dataset to import the measures that need to be in production. That would save a lot of "please add me such measure" then getting it wrong, then trying again etc.125Views1like2CommentsRe: Ability to "Apply Width to All Columns" of Table, Matrix & Matrix Preview
To whom it might interest, this is the workaround I came up with -- https://www.esbrina-ba.com/the-ultimate-hack-to-set-column-widths-in-a-matrix/ but I agree we should not need a hack for such a basic thing!795Views0likes0CommentsPossibility to define max and min values for color gradient based on a measure even when formatting applies to values and totals
The limitation when applying color gradient conditional formatting to values and totals can be overcome as shown in this post, but it should not be. https://www.esbrina-ba.com/conditional-formatting-with-a-dynamic-divergent-color-gradient-for-values-and-totals/285Views22likes1CommentRe: Tables created using Calculation Groups should have a distinct icon
Please! I tried putting prefixes, but it's bad practice and looks weird. While we are at it, there's no need to reorder calc groups anywhere, leave them where their name sets them (don't do like measure tables, or actually fact tables with all columns hidden -- because columns should be either foreign keys or metrics right?)133Views0likes0Comments
