Data Refresh Failures are very difficult to troubleshoot with Support

Today data fresh failures just give a generic message. Refresh failed. Once you report this to support they have no way of corelating your refresh request with their backend traces. there should be an activity id that is put in as part of the refresh failure message - so that you can give that activity id to the support engineer to troubleshoot

I cant believe how much time I have wasted in this area! I keep thinking that I am wasting my time at this stage. Get it working on one workbook and the next one fails - use the exact same Data Source definitions. Need a lifeboat!

Can create Merqe table in Power Query and expect that the refresh will work?
