Currently, Microsoft Fabric supports only long-term credentials for S3 shortcuts. However, I would like to suggest the addition of support for temporary credentials obtained through boto3. Specifically, it would be extremely beneficial if the connection could use a sessionToken along with the access_key and secret_key.
The ability to use temporary credentials would provide enhanced security and flexibility, particularly for users who need to manage their AWS resources in a dynamic environment. This feature would not only benefit me but also a wide range of users who rely on Microsoft Fabric for managing their cloud resources.
I understand that implementing new features involves careful consideration and significant resources. However, I truly believe that this addition could bring substantial benefits to many users like myself who rely on Microsoft Fabric for our daily tasks.
Thank you for considering my proposal. I am more than willing to provide further details or clarification if needed. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
