I am writing to suggest a feature enhancement for the Dynamic Subscriptions functionality that would greatly improve visibility and workflow management for report owners.
Currently, when we trigger a Dynamic Subscription that sends out multiple customized reports to a large distribution list, there is no active feedback mechanism to inform the subscription owner when the entire batch has finished processing. We are left completely in the dark regarding the status of the job, unless we manually dig into the run history.
The Suggestion: I highly recommend implementing an automated "Run Completed" notification. Once a Dynamic Subscription finishes sending all the emails in its queue, the user who created or owns the subscription should receive a confirmation (via email or Teams notification) stating that the distribution has been successfully completed.
Why this matters:
Peace of Mind: It provides immediate confirmation that critical reports have reached the stakeholders without the need for manual monitoring.
Workflow Optimization: Many times, we need to perform subsequent tasks once the reports are delivered. A clear completion trigger would allow us to proceed with confidence.
Troubleshooting: If an error occurs midway through a large batch, a status summary at the end would help us quickly identify and address any failures.
Adding a simple check box in the subscription setup like "Notify me when the subscription run completes" would be a massive quality-of-life improvement for administrators handling enterprise-level distributions.
Thank you for considering this request. I believe this small addition would make Dynamic Subscriptions a much more robust and reliable tool.
