Undocumented changes to Dynamic Subscriptions are breaking automated workflows
I am writing to express my deep frustration regarding the frequent and disruptive changes being made to Power BI's Dynamic Subscriptions. Month after month, unannounced updates are severely impacting our automated workflows, forcing us to constantly revise our models and processes.
Recently, we had to deal with undocumented changes regarding the Premium/Fabric workspace requirements needed to keep dynamic subscriptions active. Now, we are facing a critical issue with the format of the attached images sent via these subscriptions.
Previously, the attached image perfectly matched the exact custom dimensions of the report page (e.g., vertical infographic layouts). Now, the system is forcing the image into a standard aspect ratio viewport, rendering our custom-sized reports with a massive white background/padding to fill the empty space.
This unexpected change in the image format completely breaks our downstream flows, which were carefully planned and designed around the original, exact-dimension image outputs.
Could you please clarify the following:
Is this white-padded, standard-size image format the new default behavior for subscriptions moving forward, or is this a temporary rendering bug in the latest Service update?
How can we revert to the previous behavior where the attached image respects the exact custom dimensions of the report page without adding standard white borders?
We urgently request that the previous rendering behavior be restored. Relying on Power BI for enterprise automation is becoming increasingly difficult when core functionalities change without warning.
