Allow configurable gap width between columns/bars in all of the Column/Bar Chart types

Without control over spacing of columns and bars, data labels can overlap each other and aesthetically, the chart looks cramped. Please add a configurable spacing parameter like the "gap width" in Excel charts to allow for better visual control.

Hi Amanda, Inner padding is affecting bar width, it is like transparent bar's width. It is not changing the space between the bars. Can you please recheck?

Padding has no impact on space between the bars. It reduces overall bar width.

Please fix this. Such a simple and important option.

seems that all chart formatting capability in MS Excel should be available in Power BI to move users. Gap width in PBI charts is still an issue.

This is still an issue when all the fields are values and not x-axis

The minimum category width is set at 20 as the lowest. We need to be able to go as narrower 😞
