Add a "snap to grid" like functionality to Power BI Desktop

Creating a clean, consistent layout in reports is very difficult in the Power BI desktop tool. Please consider adding a customizable layout grid that objects can snap to like PowerPoint. Thanks!

The October release of Power BI Desktop has a preview of gridlines and snap to grid! Try it out by downloading the latest version of Power BI Desktop and enabling the preview feature in the settings dialog. For more info on this feature, check out this article: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/documentation/powerbi-desktop-gridlines-snap-to-grid/

Let as snap charts, pivots, numbers and maps into grid same as Power BI Dashboard has. With changeable number of columns and rows in grid. Changeable background and line color.

This could also work in a similar way to Datazen to snap items into the right place, having the ability to lock the page as well so items cannot be moved around through acceidental clicks would also be useful

I can easily spend a lot of time adjusting charts and other visualizations. Some functionality for recommended best fit, or snap to grid would be helpful. I would also like to hide the scrollbars in some cards/charts if they are not relevant.

This is not exclusive to desktop. The same issues with the cloud version. 😞

It would also be nice to be able to lock down the placement of the visualizations on a given report page once everything has been finalized and published. It's very irritating to have the outline around visualizations appear every time it is being interacted with, particularly the large header bar at the top of every visualization. This just either takes up more screen real estate and/or obscures other objects on the report.
