Hi Community,
I have created and published a report using data from 6 datasets in another workspace. All the 6 datasets have RLS.
For the users/audience to see the contents of the report, I have to add them all to the RLS in all 6 datasets. This automatically gives them access to all other reports built from these 6 datasets in the other workspace.
Is there a way for them to view the report without having to be added to the RLS of the 6 datasets?
Are you able to recreate the datasets in Workspace A?
Hi @Ian_Keats
No, I cannot. Workspace B belongs to a different functional unit. The data in them is already restricted hence the RLS on the datasets. It is just that I need to 'borrow' some data from the 6 datasets for my report.
Hi @Mirithu ,
This report was created with 6 datasets in the workspace, then this report should be able to view the data of 6 datasets, you can try to create RLS in this report, before pulling the rest of the users into this Role.

Thank you @Anonymous ,
I have created RLS in this report and added the users. The issue is that this report is in Workspace A, and the 6 datasets are in Workspace B. The users of the report in Workspace A must be added to RLS in all the 6 datasets in Workspace B, otherwise they will not view the data/visuals in the report that reference these 6 datasets.
Adding them to the RLS in the 6 datasets is what I was hoping to avoid doing.
