How to efficiently have reports in multiple apps?

Hello

What is the most efficient way to have similar reports in 2 different apps?  We are trying to make it easier for business users to see only the info they need that pertains to their role, without providing too much extra that isn't needed.

We are thinking of splitting reports between 2 apps, but the secondary app contains the same reports as App 1 but with more pages, similar to the example in the table below.  It would be great if there was a way to limit viewing / access at the page level and only publish 1 report instead of 2.  Or is there or will there be a way to limit access at a page level?

Is there a better option?

App 1

App 2

Report1

-page a

-page b

-page c

Report2

-page f

-page g

Report1

-page a

-page b

-page c

-page d

-page e

Report2

-page f

-page g

-page h

Are these the options that can do this?

Option 1 - Publish the reports in 2 different apps, but that means updating the report twice and data refreshes twice.

Option 2 - A shared data set solution.  Report is still duplicated, but data refresh is only once.

Option 3 - Use Audiences, but audiences works at the report level, not the page level so we would still need multiple reports published.  We do not limit access to these reports, so we would need to create an Active Directory group to manage access to the one audience and then maintain the AD group.

Thank you in advance,

Matt
