This is highly desired. The lack of this feature means that I need to create several versions of a nearly identical report to meet end user needs.

Would like to be able to complete reset a tab to a specific point. It's easy to reset the filters on the tab, but having the ability to clear slicers, change dimensions of visual objects to a starting point would be a game changer.

Not sure if my ask is what this idea is part of, but I'm going to create a separate ask and drop my text there as well.
