When Power BI is embedded into SharePoint, allow filters to be preset

It is currently possible for filters (or even slicers) to be preset when publishing to PowerBI.com. From a threat on the recent PBI AMA it was stated that Power BI will be able to be embedded in SharePoint. When that happens, it would be great to be able to preset filters for each embedded dashboard/report rather than needing to set it in the Power BI pbix file first. This way it would allow multiple instances of the dashboard/report to be embedded and filters set for the specific SharePoint embed locations. The use case for this could be a sales situation where there are multiple sales regions all looking at the same report. It would be nice to have the report embedded in each of their team sites and pre-filtered to their region.

This would be very helpful. Right now I am going to have to create many reports filtered for each area.

Please enable this feature. See also Microsoft Idea · Personal view - https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=f3644fbe-fac5-422b-b4a0-fbe68e675f96

This is a very important enhancement for us to be considered by Microsoft. We get around 53 SharePoint sites. For all, the exact same data structure. Instead having 53 report copies, we would be much more productive having only one copy, filtered by SharePoint site.

Please get onto this, it's so cumbersome trying to set up for a meeting without this feature.

It is surprising that this is not a default feature

This would be very helpful! We have a production report that multiple factories use, and as part of their SharePoint daily page this report is embedded. Everyday they must select the filters, leading to possibly misleading/forgetting.

This would be helpful to avoid having to create multiple reports with differing filters. Setting up the filtering to proper view will help avoid reviewing misinformation.
