Support for multiple instances of the On-premise data gateway on one server

We host data and tabular models for multiple customers on one server. Each need their own tenant with different domains. This in turn requires us to have multiple servers just to host the on-premise data gateway. Would be great to be able to have multiple instances of the on-premise data gateway running on one server. This I imagine would also be useful for testing/preprod deployments in smaller setups where a dedicated server just for the gateway is overkill.

Absolutely this!

I cannot stress enough how important and strategic this would be. If you do nothing else for the rest of the year, do this.

I concur with all of the below comments and the Idea, an ability to host multiple instances through one On-Premise gateway will seriously improve service for hosting providers who have multiple customer databases to access on premise.

I'm surprised this isn't resolved yet. Some portions of my organization have access to protected information that all lives within the same Oracle data warehouse. Because the gateway uses shared credentials, we can't have the same gateway used to import data across all teams' data models. It seems like a waste of resources to spin up another machine and dedicate that many more resources to accommodate data that is firewalled off from the greater organization and not everyone has the skillset and/or bandwidth to be yet another Power BI administrator in addition to their day job.

This would be a great development. Please inform if this is on the agenda or not.

Completely agree, one dedicated server for one gateway isn't appropriate. Has this been investigated?

Is it possible to run on-premises gatway under a Windows container under docker? As this would be one way of addressing this issue if it were possible.

I also have a similar issue, we have multiple tenants in Azure and we keep on installing Gateway in different servers just for this purpose. Multiple instances are the best way to go. but still no news yet!
